Since our inception in 2018, Status has been redefining the automotive exhibition scene in Australia. Our story began with a vision to fill a void in the industry by introducing an event tailored specifically for creative and passionate car enthusiasts. In January of 2019, we brought that vision to life with our very first event: Status Ch. I.

Fast forward six years, and Status has become an annual staple in the automotive community. What started as a passion project amongst friends and family has now grown into one of the most anticipated automotive events, not just within Australia but across the globe. We’re proud of the journey we've had so far and we look forward to hosting events for many years to come.

My name is Sarah, I’m the founder and director of Status. In 2018, I was 21 and working in retail while shooting cars on the side. At the time, I had a clear vision but little to no experience in running a business. What I did have, however, was a passion for the car community and a recognition of a gap in the market. There simply weren’t car shows that resonated with people in my age demographic and I was determined to change that.

With the support of my friends and family, I launched Status. I want to personally recognise my sisters, Silvia and Samantha, and my partner, Akshay, who have played an enormous part in helping me bring this vision to life. I’m also incredibly grateful to my friends, who dedicate their time and effort to assist me in operating the event on show days — their hard work and commitment is invaluable. The unwavering support and dedication from everyone involved has been instrumental in making Status what it is today.

Status is more than just a car show. It’s an immersive experience that celebrates automotive culture through specially curated atmospheres. Each year, we transform the event with unique themes, like florals for Status in Bloom and arcade for Status: Ch. V, creating a dynamic environment where cars and art come together.
